Arrested For Growing Cannabis To Treat His Kidney Failure, Former Teacher Says The Risk Is Worth The Reward.

A retiree was recently detained for growing cannabis at his home. Tony Bevington uses CBD and THC to deal with his kidney failure symptoms, which was diagnosed two years ago. After a neighbor complained, he was cautioned. But, he does not plan to stop any time soon since he is relying on the plant for this life. He also wants to ensure he consumes good quality which is why he grows it himself.

While medical CBD was legalized last year, many argue that cannabis is almost never given by NHS (National Health Service), leading to massive amounts in private treatment. This leads to people having to grow their own plant if they cannot afford healthcare.

On the other hand, Devon & Cornwall Police said that the legislation is a matter of the government and three people remain under investigation for conducting drug-related offenses.

As of now, the NHS has only approved two cannabis-based medicines. These are used for epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. While the US has very strict rules, the UK market is far more lenient. They have a lot of CBD products selling, such as dietary supplements, beverages, oils, tincture, gummy bears, and pet products.
