A Consumer Reports survey found that about 10% of Americans have mentioned that CBD products helped with their sleep. This is the basis of the CBD pillows. So, how does it work?
Micro-encapsulation refers to the containment of specific particles – in this case, CBD – in microscopic capsules. These capsules protect the CBD particles from evaporation, oxidation, and contamination. That is until it is released through friction – in this case, with your head.
Once the CBD is freed from the capsules, your hair follicles and skin will absorb it. The idea is that the more restless you feel at night, the more CBD will be released. At the moment, CBD Pillow and Brookstone are both working on this idea. Cannabidiol is one of the most prevalent cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. CBD, with THC, are known to interact with the endocannabinoid system, leading to physiological reactions within our bodies. While this is all conjecture at the moment, there is no evidence of the same. CBD pillows, may or may not, work as expected.
