Mendi’s Mission To Help Athletes Recovery And Support Women And Diversity With CBD
Women’s sports leagues and athletes have always been on the look-out for new opportunities to market themselves and earn more. Rachael Rapinoe, a former athlete, believes CBD could be a great factor in improving athletes’ health, forge new partnerships, and increase revenue for women in sports. Her company, Mendi, is dedicated to helping athletes manage their pain better and support women. She started the company to offer athletes better and more natural ways to deal with pain as opposed to harmful drugs. CBD does not cause a high and does not have any abuse or dependence potential. On the contrary, it is known to help with anxiety, insomnia, pain, and epilepsy.
While not everybody agrees with this, Mendi has gotten down to prove that CBD could help athletes, with the endorsement of Megan Rapinoe and her girlfriend, Sue Bird. It is also nice to see that the National Women’s Soccer League is more progressive than others. It allows the players to use certain cannabinoids for pain management and recovery. However, it does not endorse CBD as a treatment officially. Besides helping boost the athletes’ health, CBD could also bring money into women’s sports. If it happens, women’s sports will have more resources and sponsors.
“I think that education is going to be key for this market to mature. Educating the consumers and government on the true benefits and even limitations of CBD will help us gain the legitimacy that we need,” says Rapinoe.
