More Research Will Help Us To Understand The Possibilities Of CBD For Children With Disorders
CBD is one of the more popular components of cannabis. While a good percentage of adults consume CBD-products, the actual stats for kids is not known. Many parents believe that CBD could help children with the autism spectrum and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. While the WHO and the medical community believes CBD is quite safe and there have been no cases of any users abusing CBD recreationally, risks for kids have not been assessed. The FDA wrote that CBD could potentially cause liver injury and hamper brain development in children.
On the brighter side…
…in a study that Meiri co-authored in 2019, 155 autistic kids aged 18 years and younger tried CBD oil for at least six months. More than 80 percent of the parents reported significant or moderate improvement in their kids.
Many parents are trying CBD products for their kids with ADHD. There have also been hints that CBD could help with anxiety, a frequent symptom of ADHD and autism. It is believed that even if CBD is approved for use for autism and ADHD, chances are that it might not be effective for everyone. Another drawback is that since CBD-products are not regulated, manufacturers could add any substances, even those that are potentially dangerous.
