New Pioneers Of Cannabis! Nebraska Women Are Leading Us Towards Greener Pastures.
Out of thousands of accomplished people from Nebraska, here are six women who are leading the way for cannabis to be accepted into the health and wellness industry. Dr. Andrea Holmes, Professor of Chemistry and the Director of Cannabis Studies at Doane University, works with hemp extraction to focus on minor cannabinoids. This has resulted in many companies switching to them for developing wellness product. Dr. Amanda McKinney, the Associate Dean of the School of Integrative Learning and the Division of Health Sciences at Doane University, specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology while also being certified in Herbal and Cannabis Medicine. She holds lectures on medical cannabis and how plant-based diets can prevent chronic health issues.
Dr. Arin Sutlief, Director of Cannabis Testing Laboratories (CTL), is skilled in cannabis testing methods. Arin built the testing laboratory for cannabinoid analysis and pushed the Nebraska’s first hemp-testing lab to comply with ISO certification process. She is also a professor teaching a new online course called Cannabis Testing & Instrumentation in Doane’s School of Integrated Learning (SIL). Andrea Butler, Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs (Online Operations) and Dean of the School of Integrated Learning, is focused on making progress with digital learning. She is the brain behind online courses, such as the Cannabis Studies program. Senator Anna Wishart, co-chair of the organization Nebraskans for Medical Marijuana, is the main person in the Nebraska movement for the legalization of medical marijuana.
