We Need More Research And Larger Studies. Science Might Not Prove CBD To Be A “Miracle Cure” But Studies Still Hint That There Are Benefits.
While many believe that using marijuana could have disastrous effects, CBD can actually help ease pain, treat body and mind issues, and improve our health. The reason that studies on THC and CBD are so less is that they are not designed properly and relatively small. CBD is insanely popular as a medicine and health supplement. It is known to lessen pain, treat anxiety and sleep disorders, and reduce inflammation. While it is not illegal to sell CBD, the FDA does not approve any CBD products except one prescription drug created to treat two rare pediatric seizure disorders. However, you will find a wide range of CBD products in the market in various forms. Studies show that CBD can help those suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
You can see the limits of existing CBD research: multiple small trials that yield conflicting results, along with RCTs and meta-analyses that too often include marijuana and mixed THC/CBD compounds rather than just pure CBD products—many of them in varying amounts.
The lack of proper dosing knowledge leads to unknown absorption, making it difficult to track CBD’s efficacy. Most humans take CBD quite well and experience little to no side effects. While possible side effects include diarrhea, mood changes, and sleepiness, reports suggest that it could potentially lead to liver problems, medication interactions, and male fertility issues. If there were more high-quality studies on this, it would have benefited the users across all problems.
