Research Shows That The Negative Effects Of CBD On Work And Performance Is Minimal, Perhaps Not At All.
While CBD is one of the most popular cannabinoids, research is going on around many other different cannabinoids. Using cannabinoid formulations regularly sees no significant changes in IQ, research suggests. Initially, a British study indicated that there might be a drop in IQ of 7 points in those who used cannabinoids regularly. But then a subsequent New Zealand study confirmed that there is actually no significant change in IQ, followed by a US study confirming the same. While there is no data on the cannabinoid formulations used in the study, it is still a great piece of research. Any memory issues would be gone by one week after discontinuation of the cannabinoid formulation.
While CBD is not psychoactive, it offers the user a calmness that alleviates their anxiety and stress. A study tried to understand if there was any difference in computer and phone skills after the consumption of cannabinoid formulations. While it was very hard to determine this, there appears to be a few subtle changes, but these largely depend on how long that person has been doing that job for and how well memorized they have their job.
We don’t know if it’s the CBD that results in relaxation and changes to your driving skills or if it’s another portion of a cannabinoid formulation. However, it does appear that people who use cannabinoid formulations may have a little more lane weave.
Lastly, if your workplace requires drug testing, a full-spectrum or broad-spectrum product may potentially pose an issue. It might be a good idea to have a conversation with your human resources department.
