Joe Rogan Discusses His Thoughts On The Therapeutic Benefits Of CBD With Elon Musk

Elon Musk, in an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan, happened to mention that he thinks CBD is “fake.”

That’s not to say he believes the non-intoxicating cannabinoid doesn’t actually exist. Rather, the tech entrepreneur indicated he feels it’s overhyped and “doesn’t do anything.”

Rogan, on the other hand, had a lot to say about cannabidiol’s benefits in response. Rogan ended up giving Musk a crash course in the numerous therapeutic benefits of CBD. Rogan talked about how beneficial CBD was for alleviating inflammation and its quick response time. CBD is also known to help people with pain, anxiety, and sleep issues. However, it does not make one high since THC is not a component here. Rogan and Musk also touch around the unregulated CBD products out in the market which poses a risk for the consumers.

While Elon Musk may not be on top of things CBD-wise, he does enjoy referencing marijuana culture every now and then. In fact, he even got into trouble with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) three years ago when he said he was considering taking Tesla private at a share price of $420, with the reference to the number commonly regarded as the unofficial cannabis holiday, 4/20. SEC stated that this announcement was false and misleading and that was made without required notification to regulators. Rogan, on the other hand, is a cannabis supporter.
