Survey Shows The Most Common Use For CBD Is To Minimize Anxiety And Maximize Sleep
Respondents are most likely to report using CBD products to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, as well as to improve their quality of sleep, according to international survey data published in the Journal of Cannabis Research.
A team of investigators from the UK and Denmark organized an online survey with 387 participants who use or have used CBD. The most common reasons for the users choosing CBD were to improve sleep, mitigate anxiety, reduce stress, and improve overall health and well-being. About 70% of the participants in the survey have only started using CBD within the past 12 months and a few side effects were reported.
The team concluded that CBD is used for a wide range of physical and mental health symptoms and improved general health and well-being. Most of the users in the survey informed that CBD helped their symptoms and they often used doses below 50 mg. About three out of the four most common symptoms were related to mental health. While the participants reported a positive impact, more research is required to understand whether CBD can indeed safely and efficiently help treat these symptoms.
